Breaking News: Commercial Van Carrying Passengers, Goes Off The Road, Plunges Into River In Ogun

A commercial van which was carrying passengers has plunged into the Ososa river in Ogun state.

According to a report by Punch Metro, a commercial Toyota Sienna with passengers has plunged into the Ososa River on the Sagamu-Ijebu-Ode-Benin  Expressway in the Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The incident was reported to have happened around 4:30pm on Wednesday.

The bus was reportedly coming from Lagos and heading for Ijebu-Ode when it plunged into the River.

A similar accident occurred over the weekend when a Honda Civic conveying staff of the Tai Solarin College of Education, Omu-Ijebu, plunged into the river.

The spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun Sector Command, Florence Okpe, confirmed the incident.

Okpe told Punch Metro that rescue operations were already ongoing as of the time of filing this report.
