The Police in Ado-Ekiti has arraigned a 39-year-old man, Yemi Falana, before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrate’s Court over alleged threat to take the life of a priest.

He said “The defendant, on the said date, unlawfully threatened to kill one Rev. Father, Theophilus Olaiya, with a knife.

“The defendant also caused a breach of the peace with his attitude on the Rev. Father, which made him commit an offence contrary to  Section 86 (2) of the Criminal Code, Cap C 16, Laws of Ekiti State 2012,”
the police prosecutor stated.

Oluwanisola said that the defendant would always make himself available in court.

Chief Magistrate, Aderopo Adegboye, consequently granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The chief magistrate adjourned the case to September 18 for further hearing.
