Hisba Declares War On Commercial S*x Workers, Alcohol Vendors In Jigawa

Hisba Commander-General said the suspects were handed over to police for investigation after which they would be charged to court.

The Jigawa State Hisba command said it has arrested 48 suspected commercial s*x workers and confiscated over 37 carton of alcohol at Gujungu market in Taura Local Government Area of the state.
 
The state Hisba Commander-General, Ibrahim Dahiru Garki, confirmed the development to DAILY POST in Dutse.
 
He explained that the arrest was made on Saturday at a popular Gujungu market in an operation conducted in collaboration between the Hisba command and Nigerian Police Force.
 
He further revealed that a room to room raid was launched against commercial s*x workers, alcohol sellers and they succeeded in arresting some of the suspects while others took to their heels.

“We succeeded in arresting some of the suspects in their rooms alongside other men and hundreds of used condoms scattered in the rooms,” he stated.
 
Dahiru said out of the said 48 suspects arrested, 30 were females while 18 were males.
 
He said the suspects were handed over to police for investigation after which they would be charged to court.
 
The commandant noted that Hisba command will continue to hunt for the prostitutes and other evil makers in all the suspected areas across the state.
 
Recall that the state Hisba command had recently arrested 14 commercial sex workers and confiscated over 100 cartons of alcohol at Gada joint in Kazaure Local Government Area of the state.
