Ifeabunandu died after a brief illness
A young woman, Chinwendu Promise Ifeabunandu (Nee Okafor) has died just weeks after getting married to Chukwuebuka Ifeabunandu on April 28.
According to a report by Kemifilani, the recently married woman died on May 19, after a brief illness.
It was gathered that the young bride who just finished her WAEC and married same month died of a strange illness which the doctors couldn’t detect.
“Few days after her wedding, she started feeling funny and her stomach was swelling. Chinwendu was rushed to a near by hopsital, tests were ran and nothing was discovered. When we thought she was getting better, we lost her. Her husband who at that time had gone back to his base in Germany, returned. Sadly,he has already started making preparations for her to join him overseas but for the ugly incidence.”
When asked about the circumstance surrounding Chinwendu’s early marriage when she had barely finished her Secondary school, the source revealed that the whole marriage idea was her mothers’.
“The father is a very principled man. He didn’t want to give his daughter away just so soon, but his wife persuaded him. I guess it was all about marrying ‘Onye obodo Oyibo’ (Man based overseas)," a source told Kemi Filani.
Meanwhile, via his Facebook post, her elder brother Nwakanwa Okafor, simply wrote “unexpected death” as the major cause of her death.
Sadly, Chinwendu will be laid to rest at her husband’s hometown, Nnulukwu village, Ichida in Aniocha Local Government Area of Anambra State on Saturday, June 29 after a brief stop at her father’s compound.
In his tribute, Nwakanwa wrote: “Sometimes i have this thought “it’s not true”!! coz wen i saw u in that hospital bed lying i said she’s just sleeping. She’ll be up to see many faces looking at her. But now everything seems to be true!!! make somebody plz call Heaven! Rip kid sis”
