Godwin Oshiogbuwe, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, who was abducted on Wednesday by unknown gunmen at Ubiaja, Esan South-East Local Government Area in Edo State has been found dead.
According to Punch Metro, police sources revealed that his body was found in a forest on Ubiaja-Ewohimi-Agbor road by a police team.
The sources added that the victim was killed after his abductors discovered that he was a policeman.
The deceased, who hailed from Auchi in Edo State, served in Abuja before his death.
Spokesman for the police in the state, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, confirmed that a search party discovered the body of the slain policeman at Emu-Oken bush.
