A video making the rounds on the internet has shown a member of the House of Representatives claiming the Fulani herdsmen values his cattle more than his own life.
Aishatu Dukku
The recent killings that took place in Benue State has been a major topic of national discourse as people proffer solutions to ending the massacre.
The killings which are being perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen, have infuriated many Nigerians with some calling for urgent action from Federal Government to check the excesses of the nomads.
Many others have wondered if the Fulani herdsmen value the lives of their cattle more than they value human lives.
Reacting to this, a member of the House of Representatives, Aishatu Dukku representing Dakku, Nafada constituency in Gombe state, says Nigerians have become so impatient and edgy now probably because of the too much intake of maggi cubes.
Speaking when the House deliberated on the herdsmen attacks, Honorable Dukku said: "We have become so edgy now. Maybe because of the food we eat. We eat so much of maggi. We don't want to listen to each other. We don't want to proffer solutions that will be workable to our country.
"Mr. Speaker I sit here and my colleague is saying the herdsman values his cattle more than the lives he is killing. But it is not true. You can't sit down here and just make conclusions. Yes the herdsman values the life of his cow more than his own life. That is how God created him''
However, in his reacting, another honourable member, Hassan Saleh representing Ogbadigbo/Okpokwku constituency in Benue State, disagreed with her, insisting that not even 10 billion cows can equal a human life.
