A world champion power-lifter has been brutally killed in a horrific street fight that caused quite a commotion.

The power-lifter was killed

This is the horrific CCTV footage which captured the moment a professional powerlifter suffered fatal head injuries during a violent street brawl.

According to Daily Star UK, the Russian world champion died in hospital as a result of his injuries.

The deadly fight – early on Sunday morning – was caught on CCTV.

In the shocking clip, Drachyov is seen bare-chested as he fights with other men outside a café in Khabarovsk, southwest Russia.

The 22-year-old’s opponent – who appeared to be a trained MMA fighter – brought down the powerlifter with a fearsome roundhouse kick.

Drachyov was able to get up before he received another kick to the head, sending him crashing into the pavement.

His killer then delivered several brutal blows to his head before security guards from the café broke up the fight.

The brawl is believed to have started when the pair argued over which of their respective sports was more physically demanding.

A police spokesman said: “The brawl between the two visitors of the cafe located in the centre of Khabarovsk took place at around 7am on August 20.

“The victim died in hospital due to the injuries he suffered. According to preliminary data, the cause of death was a craniocerebral injury.”

The suspect has been named as Anar Allakhveranov, who allegedly fled the scene and has been placed on a wanted list.

A case under “deliberate infliction of grievous bodily harm, which caused the death of the victim by negligence” has been launched against him.

Drachyov was the junior powerlifting world champion in 2008 and took the silver world championship medal at senior level in 2011.

He recently switched to bodybuilding, claiming the Far Eastern Federal District Cup earlier this year.

The head of Russia's powerlifting organization, Yury Ustinov, said: “I’m very upset, first of all, because the life of a young man has ended and also because we’ve lost a promising athlete.

“I’d like our law enforcers to get to the bottom of this and deliver a punishment to those responsible.”
