Former Senate President, David Mark who was dragged to the election petition tribunal over an alleged irregularities regarding his victory in Benue senatorial election, has finally had his victory upheld.
According to Channels Television, the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, has upheld the election of former Senate President, Senator David Mark of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In its ruling on Thursday, the tribunal struck out the petition filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s candidate in Benue senatorial poll, Daniel Onjeh.
The former Senate President had asked the tribunal to dismiss Onjeh’s petition for filing outside the 21 days required by law.
