A tragic incident has claimed the life of an All Progressives Party chieftain who was brutally murdered alongside his family in Rivers State.

Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Musa Kimo, consoles the daughter of the late APC chieftain Franklin Obi in Omoku

Unknown gunmen have beheaded a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The man identified as Franklin Obi was brutally murdered alongside his wife, Iheoma, and 18-year-old son, Bestman, at their residence in Omoku at about 9pm on Saturday.

The tragic news was confirmed by the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Musa Kimo, who is currently on a visit to the place.
