Former Bread-seller-turned-model, Olajumoke Narrates Her Journey to Stardom (Video)

 

 

Olajumoke Orisaguna, mother of two sells Agege bread around the Yaba area of Lagos and while engaging in her conventional petty trade, she barged into the set of celebrity photographer, TY Bello who photographed her carrying her merchandise on her head.

 

She uploaded the photo the next day on her Instagram page leading to a barrage of admiration of the bread-seller from her followers who took her for a professional model. This prompted the former singer-turned photographer to go in search of Olajumoke for an indoor photo session. Olajumoke became an instant hit since her pictures stormed social media with several companies aligning with her sudden fame to promote their names.

 

Olajumoke, a mother of two whose husband resided in Oyo state while she 'hustles' for money in Lagos has since relocated to the commercial city. The couple have been gifted a luxury apartment by a Lagos-based billionaire, Olajumoke has a modelling deal, she is the face of Payporte, an e-commerce company and Stanbic IBTC recently gave scholarship awards to her kids.

 

These are just a few of the economic benefits of Olajumoke's fame. She granted an interview to Channels TV famed for being the best television in Nigeria for 10 consecutive years during which she discussed her fateful encounter with TY Bello.
